Baby Love

My #1 rule has been broken...but for a great reason. That rule is 'Do not take photos of anyone or anything that can not take direction.' If I can not give direction, then I cannot create the shot I want or envision. However, my friend Z told me he is so happy that there is a new chapter in his life that even looks like him. Baby Zane is the son of a great mechanic. I couldn't resist taking his picture.

War and Peace

Brian is a really sincere guy that wanted photos with his girlfriend before he heads off to war next month. He thought it would mean a lot if we could take them somewhere that reflected him having her there in his heart and mind. He thought he would like to know she is smiling to keep his spirits up. They love to country dance.

 

She works at her family store where she is nice to everyone.  We decided a few photos would be good to remind a few guys that has a guy that will be back soon.

But instead, she is getting married to a country boy. These were fun. I like it when clients incorporate something that means a lot and tells a little about who they really are.

Emily is a friend that will do whatever it takes to get a fun shoot in, no matter how freezing it is. By the way, it was literally freezing...check out the rare snowy day in Houston.

 

Mazel Tov!

Sam is a tall, alpha, gentle, tough, caring Jewish boy. Ivy is from a small country town known as Flatonia. We did their engagements photos there, which inspired me to take more trips to the country. He is the nicest guy in the world. How do I know this?  A few weeks ago the bridesmaid on the table in the red dress split the back of her "tight fittin' jeans," as they say, and he brought a new pair for her at midnight to Big Texas. What a great guy.

Raising the Bar

Michael and Missy are not only cute together, but they really complement each other. She is very passionate, and he is very mellow. He smiles every time she puts her arm around him or gets close, and she gets a little closer. These two never had to be asked to smile or show more emotion. Part two is coming soon. She said they like to hang out at casual bars and do normal things so we did.

 

I asked if they play sports... they said quarters.

Imagine That

I am blessed to have brides like Jamie that act nothing like bridezillas, but her guy is even more rare. Never have I met a guy that immediately smiles and laughs so much just because he is around the girl he loves. I asked why he wanted to take photos at the fountains and he gave me the coolest story, which gave me an idea for a creative photo. He proposed at Hotel Zaza across the street but days before the proposal he stood at the fountains figuring out what he might say. The first photos are to represent him imagining she is there.
